what breed is my cat?
Upload a photo. Our AI checks the visible traits against breed standards and gives you an honest answer, even if the honest answer is "a magnificent moggie".
how the breed check works
The AI compares what is actually visible in your photo, head shape, ear set, eye colour, coat length, pattern and body type, against the published breed standards. It gives you its best call with an honest confidence score, plus the runners-up it considered.
a note on honesty
Most cats, somewhere around 95 percent worldwide, are Domestic Shorthairs or Domestic Longhairs: wonderful non-pedigree cats, also known as moggies. A tabby coat is a pattern, not a breed, and most orange cats are not secretly anything. If your cat is a moggie, this tool will say so and tell you which breeds its look resembles, rather than flattering you into believing you own a rare Bengal. The chairman insisted on this policy personally.
can you really tell a breed from a photo?
Only to a point. Genuine breed confirmation comes from pedigree papers or a DNA test, not a photograph, and no photo tool can see genetics. What a photo CAN show is which breed a cat most resembles, and that is what you get here: an informed, honest resemblance call, free, in seconds.
